- Attended The University of Illinois 1986-1990 and was a 2 time All American (1989 & 1990)
- Member of Team USA in 1989
- Big Ten Player of the Year 1990
- Drafted by the California Angels in the 1990 MLB Draft
- Enjoyed a 13 year professional playing career including parts of 5 years at the Major League level (Angels, Blue Jays & White Sox)
- Resides in Plainfield with wife Lisa, son Nick (current player in the Arizona Diamondback Organization) and daughters Gia and Bella
